DEADLINE: Thursday July 20th 2017
“Today is the final markup (edit) and approval vote in the House of the President’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2018, that begins in October. The budget proposes to reopen slaughter plants in the US by funding inspections of horse meat and to cut the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) wild horse and burro budget by $10 million dollars, part of the “cost cuts” will include shipping tens of thousands of wild horses to a gruesome death at the slaughter plant. The Senate is expected to take final action on Thursday.” https://wildhorseeducation.org/2017/07/18/wild-horses-2017/
“Sanctioning the slaughter of tens of thousands of horses is a disgraceful, shameful idea. It is an unacceptable idea that will produce protests in the streets, from Reno to Washington, D.C.,” Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States, said in a news release. “Mass slaughter will happen only over the cries, protests and interventions of the American people.” https://americanwildhorsecampaign.org/media/house-appropriations-committee-could-determine-fate-wild-horses-and-burros-public-lands
So make calls to contacts provided below TODAY!👇🏼
No slaughter, for domestic or wild equines, be firm! This vote has national implications- wild horses and burros belong to the people of this country, not the government. We don’t want horse slaughter on American soil ever again. It’s our right to be heard and it’s the government’s, responsibility to listen to us.
If you haven’t called, you aren’t fighting for the horses nor your right to protect YOUR public lands. Say goodbye to sage grouse, clean water and safe soil.

This link explains what happened last week regarding or country’s domestic and wild equines and provides contact phone numbers to call on Monday, July 17, 2017. All you do is pick up the phone and call:
Respectfully, people that were NOT getting hung up on wasting energy fighting about pzp (that in the big picture… NO ONE even had control over on any large scale anyway) were busy working on other things to try and fight the mass slaughter of our wild ones months and months and months ago.
Those getting hung up on fighting false over population claims (just one of BLM’s many many many lies) by futile petitions should have been pursuing FOIA’s to show and establish BLM’s constitutional non compliance in providing accurate information requested in those FOIA requests.
Petitions only spread awareness, they do not change what the government does or does not do.
People do not seem to grasp that different beliefs are just that. But those beliefs, in and of themselves have absolutely nothing to do with what the government does or does not do, and therefore, are futile to have conflict about.
For years, I’ve seen a battlefield of warriors, fighting each other over beliefs, rather than being united to save the very lives of our wild ones they all claimed to protect. And in doing so, in my mind, I have seen them trampling the wild horses under thier feet as they separated into ineffective factions, taking ineffective actions. From here on out, there should be nothing more for warriors to argue about, for in doing so, they are trampling our wild ones as we speak, on the very battlefield we should have UNITED our efforts to protect their very lives.
From here on out, any and all battles for our wild ones will be fought with exposure thorough media to the public, in political circles and in court. That’s all there has ever been and that’s all we have left. And even that may not be enough.
People need to understand where they need to begin to focus their energies. All effective people must go through processes and have the ability to let go of what did not work.
Be respectful, be brief, be clear! We don’t want horse slaughter on American Soil!
Read and understand why here:
Killing Wild Horses and Burros is WRONG. They are to be protected, not to be sent off to be used as work animals in unknown or abusive situations, and eventually end up in the slaughter pipeline.
Our Federal Lands need to remain PUBLIC LANDS.
Multiple Use law for our PUBLIC LANDS does not equal “monopoly use” by corporations or individuals to make $$$.
Please take action, share this message in its entirety far and wide and thank you for reading.
