Given the current situation regarding the organizations working with the Army to remove horses, the 17 horses rescues may be some of the last Fort Polk horses that can be saved.
There has been no sign that the additional 44 horses removed by Meridian Falls Ranch were ever adopted and their whereabouts are currently unknown. Meridian Falls Ranch out of Buffalo, TX has subsequently removed their Facebook page.
